Political Fun
I thought I might share with you a website where you can go and find out, in a fun way, which presidential political candidate you most agree with.
Once I answered the basic questions concerning the most popular topics of interest,(by assigning a point value I dictated), it lead me to the candidate which most closely mirrored my views. I must say I was somewhat surprised, as my revealed candidate was not who I had been following! My views which were almost identical were reported as well as any differences. The differences provided further links so I could read exactly why we differed on key points. Novel indeed. At least to me.
It bypasses all the media hype, and focuses in on the issues and the true stance of each candidate. This is particularly important, as some candidates and their issues are receiving little media attention. The recent televised debates left out two candidates, Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter. These two candidates, I suspect, most closely mirror what much of America wants. But the media is simply not giving them the attention they deserve. You may have never heard of either of them. What a shame and disservice to us citizens. It limits our choices of "known" candidates, and how might we vote differently if only we knew of them and their issues?
It continues to amaze me that so many who are adamant about exercising their right to vote, urging others to follow likewise, really have no clue who or what issues they are voting for. They simply trust that what the media proposes in their newscasts and editorials, that it must be true. It doesn't occur to them to do more digging or broaden their horizons to look at other candidates in depth.
May we all enjoy broadening our horizons, and I hope each one of you does indeed dig for the facts, and vote accordingly.

Feel free to leave your comments on how you find this site. Did it surprise you at the results, or had you indeed done your own homework? Was your original candidate of choice the same candidate that was revealed to you? Happy learning!
